The process of Remote Coaching looks something like this:
Phase 1: Consultation.
Each Central Athlete will begin with a one-hour initial consultation. If you do not live in Austin, this is conducted via Skype and is used to create a rapport between Client and Coach. The trainer and client will review training history, nutrition and lifestyle factors, current strengths and weaknesses and short and long-term goals.
Phase 2: Testing.
The second phase of the Remote Coaching process involves testing. This may vary from several days to multiple weeks, depending upon the training age and the desired results. Your coach will assess your movement, body composition, work capacity, strength balance, food profiles and compare the results to normative data to form an actionable training plan that is relevant to your goals.
Phase 3: Training.
Once testing is complete, clients move into training. The Coach will send weekly programming by Sunday evening using FitBot and athletes will be required to submit their training results by Saturday evening of every week.
Central Athlete prides itself on forming reciprocal relationships. Therefore, we require that clients submit their training results in a timely and accurate fashion. The more detailed their accounting, the more intelligent the program design.
With their membership to Central Athlete, clients receive a 30-minute consultation every month. It is the client’s responsibility to schedule these in advance. The purpose of these regular consultations is to create a dialogue and build the relationship between Client and Coach. In addition to this, the client has unlimited access to the Coach via email. Such communication is highly encouraged: the Coach will always know where the client is mentally in his/her training, and the Coach can answer any questions the Client may have.
As needed: Nutritional services.
As part of your Central Athlete Remote Coaching membership, our clients have access to our nutritional services on, as needed basis. Our Coaches will follow a similar protocol where they will take an individual look at the client and begin with an assessment phase. From here, we will move into one recommendation at a time, while establishing compliance towards that change. We will assess results via retesting from the initial assessment.
